Research Interest

As an epidemiologist and health services researcher, Sahar investigates population-level health inequalities of marginalized and racialized populations, including persons living with HIV/AIDS, hepatitis C, COVID-19 and chronic liver disease. She conducts her research understanding that social determinants influence heterogeneous outcomes that a single construct cannot define and population-level interventions do not result in homogeneous effects.
